St. George´s Day in Playa Flamenca
The place to be next Monday April 23, 2012 from 11:00 until late is the promenade in Playa Flamenca. Pedro Mancebo, Councillor for Tourism and Beaches, told us about the exciting fiesta day the Town Hall is organizing to celebrate St. George´s Day which is also a fiesta in Spain. The Town Hall invited all the local Associations, Platformas, Schools and other groups to participate to help make this day a fun day for all.
Mancebo explained that on the fiesta of San Jorge it is usual for ladies to receive red roses and gentlemen to receive a book.
